Good and bad results in band. The good is that I wasn't dead by the end of rehearsal. The bad is that it does remove the brightness from my sound, which means at those times when I DO have to play bright, I have to blow even harder.
So I have two choices - go back to the Laskey or alter my horn to make it brighter.
My only concern for the Laskey is the endurance issue. I'll test that theory on Friday at "Beauty and the Beast."
As for altering the horn, the only thing I can think to do is remove the heavycaps. I'm already down to 2.
